The duration of psychotherapy is varied and totally up to you. You may want short term, solution focussed counselling to support you through a particular difficulty. Short-term counselling may be 4-8 sessions and if you feel you have the support, tools and recourses to stop therapy then, that’s great.

You may be wanting longer to engage in deeper work to process and release trauma, anxiety, depression, grief or limiting beliefs that are impacting your life. This can take time.
After a period of intensive, weekly sessions, you may decide that you do want ongoing sessions, but less frequently. We can change to fortnightly or even monthly sessions as part of your long-term self-care plan.
If you decide youd like to deeply process anxiety, limiting beliefs, trauma or shame by experience Depth Enquiry, this process usually takes between 4 and 8 sessions.
